Housing
WHERE TO START?
Students are welcome to contact the RDAM reception who can provide advice on housing: info@dkdm.dk (att. housing). RDAM is not able to allocate housing to students and will usually refer to the information and links below.
HOW TO FIND HOUSING IN COPENHAGEN?
RDAM is situated in the municipality of Frederiksberg which is part of the Greater Copenhagen Area. We recommend that you do not limit your search to the municipality of Copenhagen but include nearby municipalities, such as Hvidovre, Brønshøj, Vanløse, Lyngby and Gentofte. You can easily reach central Copenhagen by public transport from here. Likewise, extend your search for accommodation to the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden) and Greater Copenhagen (Storkøbenhavn).
We advise you to join our the facebook gruop for RDAM students where you can find advice from fellow students, find information on available rooms/ apartments or find roommates.
You may also find useful information and inspiration in other Facebook groups for international students in Copenhagen:

GOOD TO KNOW
Be aware of scams and never make payments before a contract has been signed.
Prior to signing a contract, you should view the place, and make sure you always read all details in the contract. Make sure to always obtain a valid and signed rental contract that includes the rental period and the terms of ending the lease. Check with the landlord whether the rent includes electricity, heating, water and wifi. Many buildings in Copenhagen are old, and even if renovated most contain small or shared bathrooms.
A deposit is required from most landlords. It will usually require a 1-month deposit for a room and a 3-month deposit for an apartment. You are advised to make the payment through a Danish bank.
