Trained at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and Musikhögskolan in Malmö, Sweden.

His teachers include Mark Schrello, Christer Nilsson, Håkan Hard Berger, Arnold Jacobs and Vincent Chicowicz.

From 1993 to 2007, Jonas Wiik served as 2nd solo trumpet in Malmö Opera Orchestra. Since 2007 he has been the 2nd solo trumpet in the Royal Danish Orchestra. Jonas Wiik has been a member of the Royal Danish Brass since 1996. He has been performing with the Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen since 2011.
