The Sublime
Philosopher and music historian Søren Schauser, along with pianist Emil Gryesten, explore the enchanted universe of musical analogy and intertextuality in romantic music.
The lecture focuses on works by Franz Liszt and Richard Wagner and is part of the artistic development project "Analogy and Enchantment" - the idea that music often comes alive when we perceive it as something other than just tones, such as a feeling, a memory, or a fragrance.
Vocal, piano, and instrumental students will be participating in the event.
