Fabrizio Chiovetta biography
Born in Geneva, of Swiss and Italian nationality, Fabrizio Chiovetta studied with Dominique Weber, Paul Badura-Skoda and John Perry. He performs as a soloist but is also in great demand as a chamber musician and lied accompanist. He plays with musicians such as Henri Demarquette, Sarah Nemtanu, Julian Bliss, Werner Güra, Patrick Messina, Corey Cerovsek and, notably, under the conductor Gábor Takács-Nagy. He has recorded works by Schumann (Palexa Records), Schubert, Haydn (Claves Records) and Bach (Aparté/HarmoniaMundi). His talent as an improviser has led him to work with artists of varied backgrounds. Fabrizio Chiovetta teaches at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève (Geneva University of Music). He divides his time between Geneva and Paris.
