Gorm Larsen
Background
Gorm Larsen graduated from the Royal College of Music, London (ARCM) in 1993 and subsequently studied choral and orchestral conducting at RDAM where he graduated with a diploma in 1999. Further studies in ear training and ear training pedagogy at RDAM, concluding with a Master's degree (MMus) in 2010.
Teaching
Gorm Larsen has taught ear training at RDAM since 2010. In addition to his work at RDAM, he has taught and coached choirs in a wide range of contexts in the areas of ear training, sound work, intonation, performance practice and concert performance/mediation. In addition, he has taught choral conducting at masterclasses in England and Croatia
Artistic practice
Since 1996, Gorm Larsen has conducted a number of choirs in Denmark, including the Graabrødre Chamber Choir, the vocal group MPIRI and he has been responsible for choral rehearsals with the choir of the Danish National Opera.
For the past 25 years, he has had extensive concert activity throughout Denmark and has toured Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Estonia and England. His work covers a wide-ranging repertoire within the last 600 years of music with a special focus on early music, contemporary music and Nordic music.
In addition to a large number of a cappella concerts, he has led performances of Handel's Messiah, St John Passion and cantatas by J.S. Bach, Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri and numerous premieres of new music.
In 2008 he was the musical director of the performance Barbara (in collaboration with Saga Dance Company) which represented Denmark at the World Expo 2008 in Zaragoza, Spain.

Gorm Larsen has been a music producer at DR P2 since 2004 and has been responsible for more than 500 classical music recordings across Denmark with leading Danish and international artists.
