Pasquale Savignano about GØNG:
Site-specific Sound Installation and Performative Installation.
32 Speakers, 2 percussionists, 2 gongs.
GØNG is both a site-specific sound installation and a performative installation for the 32 “sound wells” in Bent Fabricius-Bjerres Plads, Frederiksberg (DK).
This work reflects on the concept of duality. A diffuse island made of many islands, separated but still connected through sound. The underground and the overground. The inner and outer space. Entering the space or listening from outside. Multitude and singularity. Presence and absence. Meditation and new beginning.
