Series of Four #3 - Daniel Hope

Daniel Hope is one of the most demanded violinists on the international stage today. He has played concerts with all the big orchestras, has a contract with the legendary 'Deutsche Grammofon'-label, and he plays on a splendid Stradivarius. But he is much more than this. He has made his mark with an academic, interlectual capacity with multiple book releases, has worked as a movie director, is one of the best contractors in the business, and has shown that he has a god-given talent for conveying classical music.

In The Danish String Quartet we have often played with Daniel Hope and we think, that it is time for him to perform in Series of Four. A concert with Daniel Hope is on one hand an old-school violin recital from an earlier time, but it is also an experience that points forwards. Daniel Hope insists with his musicing and his being that classical music should play a great role in the world, and that is the atmosphere the audience is drawn into.

At the concert Series of Four you can experience Daniel Hope perform with the pianist Maxim Lando and The Danish String Quartet in, among others, Chausson's decadent "Concert for violin, piano, and string quartet".
