Danish poetry in the nordic countries

The project collects and introduces Nordic Songs composed to Danish lyrics by other Nordic composers than Danish. The project focuses on the romantic repertoire and the cultural exchange between the Nordic countries - what has inspired the composers in the poetry of the neighboring country, what happens in this "meeting" of the different nationalities and how the cultural exchange between the Nordic countries emerges in this music.
The aim of the project is to shed light on this lesser-known repertoire both in Denmark and
internationally.

Part of the project is a course for the conservatory's singing students with a lecture and a final concert in the spring term 2021. The project is finally completed and documented in the form of a CD recording for Amchara Classical/Naxos.

The project will be carried out in the period 1 September 2020 - 31 August 2021.
