Rufus Wainwright - Unfollow the Rules Tour

Lige i hælene på sin succesfulde bandturné i Storbritannien, annoncerer Rufus Wainwright en europæisk turné, der bringer ham og hans band til Skandinavien, Belgien, Holland, Tyskland, Frankrig og Spanien. Turnéen bliver i forlængelse af hans 2020 Grammy-nominerede pop-album ’Unfollow the Rules’.

Rufus, der er kendt for sine ekstremt medrivende live optrædener, vender tilbage til Europa med et helt nyt band til denne tour: Los Angeles-musikeren Brian Green (John Legend, Michael Bublé, Pomplamoose) er med som chefdirigent, men også på guitar og backing vokaler, Jacob Mann på keyboard, klaver og backing vokaler, samt Alan Hampton på bas, guitar, ukulele og backing vokaler.

Med en set-liste bestående af klassikere og nye sange fra hans længeventede nye album bliver turnéen helt sikkert et af årets højdepunkter. Billetsalget starter på fredag 29. oktober kl. 10.00 via livenation.dk.

Rufus udtaler om turnéen: “I am excited to tour Europe with Unfollow the Rules. I have always felt very much at home artistically there and my husband and I actually have a home in Berlin so I get to spend some time there and even play his home town. A lot of my musical references have European roots. I consider Unfollow the Rules my first fully mature album; it is like a bookend to the beginning of my career.” Han fortsætter: “For me with every concert that is happening, mine or others we are returning a bit more towards our normal lives. Experiencing music together gives me hope and confidence that we will rise above the isolating and heartbreaking experience of the past two years collectively”.
