Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam appointed as Honorary Professor at RDAM

On the basis of a nomination by RDAM’s string-professors, the Directorate has decided to offer the position of Honorary Professor to Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam for a five-year period beginning on 1 November 2018, until the end of October 2022.

The appointment took place at the President Bertel Krarup's office earlier today.

In the nomination, it is stated that Prof Jensen Horn-Sin Lam with his comprehensive education in Vienna under highly recognised teachers is considered one of China's best teachers in classical music and the leading musician on his instrument, the Viola. As Professor of Viola and Chamber Music at Shanghai Conservatory of Music he has shown excellent educational results, also on an international level. During recent years, Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam has regularly given masterclasses at RDAM which have always been excellent and very inspiring.

It is an honor for RDAM to list Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam among the Academy’s other honorary professors, and the Academy very much looks forward to a closer collaboration with Prof. Horn-Sin Lam in the coming years.
