The Winner of RDAM Solist Competition 2017
The cellist Theodor Lyngstad will be this year's soloist with RDAM's Symphony Orchestra in the Tivoli Concert Hall
The cellist Theodor Lyngstad won The Royal Danish Academy of Music's soloist competition 2017 and thus gets the honour of being soloist in Herman D. Koppel’s Cello Concerto with RDAM's Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kristian Järvi in Tivoli's Concert Hall on 24th June 2017.
Theodor Lyngstad (born in 1993 in Norway) is a Master’s student at The Royal Danish Academy of Music under Professor Morten Zeuthen and Lars Anders Tomter, and has also studied under David Geber at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Theodor Lyngstad is an active chamber musician and is a member of the Alba String Quartet. In 2015 he was awarded the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize. This year the Alba String Quartet was also awarded the Jury’s Special Prize in the first Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen.
