Large amount of RDAM students in the EU Orchestra

Eleven RDAM students have won seats in the prestigious European Union Youth Orchestra

The European Youth Orchestra (EUYO) has existed since 1976 and is one of the most prestigious youth orchestras. Some of the world's leading conductors are associated with the orchestra. The orchestra tours Europe twice a year. At present Vladimir Ashkenazy is music director and previously such prominent people like Claudio Abbado and Bernard Haitink have filled this position.

The The European Youth Orchestra consists of the most talented young musicians from EU's 28 countries and audition is held every year. In the spring of 2014 more than 3,000 musicians competed about the 140 orchestra seats and it is exceptional that eleven students from the Royal Danish Academy of Music have qualified this year.

The following RDAM students have won a seat in EUYO:

Austeja Juskaityte, violin
Amalie Kjældgaard Kristensen, violin
Pernille Kristiansen, violin
Minna Svedberg, viola
Arvid Larsson, bassoon
Anne Sophie Broholt Jensen, horn
