Alvaro Pierri at RDAM
An Absolute Star on the Classical Guitar Heaven, Alvaro Pierri, visits RDAM

Alvaro Pierri is one of the most important guitarists of his time. Since the age of 11 he has won several prices at internationally renowned guitar competitions as well as a gold medal at the prestigious XVIII International Guitar Competition Radio France in Paris.
The audience can now meet him at The Royal Danish Academy of Music as guest in a concert as well as in a master-class for the guitar students at RDAM from 2nd to 4th December 2012. With his world wide concert career and his prize awarded CD recordings he has managed to set new standards for the classical guitar, not just with his technical and sonorous instrument handling, but also with his gripping interpretations giving even the standard repertoire renewed sparkle. He has released 15 CDs (solo, chamber-music, guitar concerts). He has played with some of the most renowned musicians such as the legendary Astor Piazzoli. Alvaro Pierri is also an internationally renowned teacher travelling around the world giving master-classes.
Since 2002 he is 1st Professor at the Hochshule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Wien.
The concert on Sunday 2nd December at 15.00 is arranged by Danish Guitar Society in collaboration with RDAM.Admission is DKK 150 (for members of Danish Guitar Society DKK 70, and for music school pupils and students DKK 50)

Monday 3rd December from 10.00-13.00 and 14.00 to 16.15
Tuesday 4th December from 9.00 to 12.00
