MusiPæd
Nordic cooperation in music pedagogy
MusiPæd is established as a centre for Nordic music education and pedagogy. MusiPæd offers a meeting point for upcoming professional musicians to establish networks across the Nordic countries, thus benefitting individual musicians and the development of music in the Nordic region.
The pedagogical and the performing and creative disciplines are central to MusiPæd. The activities of the project will focus on the musical and artistic development of participants and their competencies in music pedagogy. Additionally, one of the project’s goals is to contribute to diversity and balance with regards to different parameters such as principal subject, professional focus, and gender in terms of participants’ profiles at the different events and courses.
MusiPæd has 5 tracks:
- Summer course for chamber music and strings at Voksenåsens Summer Academies
- Winter course for solo performances and chamber music for brass musicians at RDAM
- Conference in music pedagogy
- Publication
- 3 productions with a Nordic dimension
The MusiPæd project has received a 3,4 million DKK grant from the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation, and is part of the foundation’s Nordic call in 2021.
