Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjærg (f. 1963) er uddannet i instrumental og elektronisk komposition fra Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i København af Ib Nørholm og Ivar Frounberg. Han har studeret privat hos Jan W. Morthenson (Stockholm) og har også studeret computerkomposition på Institut Voor Sonologie i Haag og på IRCAM i Paris, hvor han desuden var ansat som underviser og forsker. 

Han har en stor interesse for instrumenters fysiske/akustiske karakter og fænomenologien bag naturlige lyde. ”At gennembryde lyden for at blive i stand til at komponere den” er hans inspiration og afsæt til at bruge moderne teknologi i forbindelse med komposition. Han har haft talrige samarbejder med IRCAM, særligt det fysiske modelleringsbaserede arbejde ”Ripple Reeds” (2009) for basklarinet og elektronik. 

UNDERVISNING 

Siden 2001 har han undervist på det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i elektroakustisk komposition og i 2007-2015 underviste han på Syddansk Musikkonservatorium i 3D lyd. Han har desuden siden 1995 ofte præsenteret IRCAMs nye musikteknologier. 

KUNSTNERISK PRAKSIS

Hans Peters værker er blevet opført i Europa, USA, Canada og Australien – ofte i tæt samarbejde med musikere, som er specialiserede i at oversætte og opføre ny musik som fx klarinettisterne, Pierre Dutrieu, Vasko Dukovsky & Anne Klett, percussionisterne Mathias Reumert & Roland Auzet, Ensemble SIC, KlangForum Wien, saxofonist Daniel Kientzy, Ars Nova (Malmø), harpenist Ernestine Stoop, Harpecore, violinist Bodil Rørbech, mezzosopran Helene Gjerris, Signe Asmussen, Torben Snekkestad, Ivo Nilsson, Figura Ensemble, Dansk Saxofon Kvartet, Ensemble 2000, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, Avanti Ensemble og Århus Symfoni Orkester.

Hans elektroniske musik har været opført vidt omkring på forskellige festivaler inden for genren og er blevet udgivet på labels som DaCapo, Media Artes og Kontrapunkt.

2009-2011: Ansat som huskomponist ved Aarhus Symfoni Orkester, som han skrev to orkesterværker til. 

2016-2018: Ansat som huskomponist ved Music Innovation Studies Center (Vilnius), hvor han komponerede en stort anlagt (3D) trilogi. 

2019-2021: Ansat som huskomponist ved ACROE (Grenoble), hvor han komponerede 2 nye elektronisk-akustiske værker baseret på Physical Modelling. 

2019-2021: Residerende kunstner hos ZKM (Karlsruhe), hvor han producerede et værk for cello og integreret live-elektronik.

2021-23: Gæstekomponist hos IRCAM (Paris)

I 1996 modtog Hans Peter et 3-årigt legat fra Statens Kunstråd. Han har desuden modtaget adskillige rejse- og arbejdslegater bl.a. fra Statens Kunstfond, Danmarks Nationalbanks Jubilæumsfond, Augustinus Fonden og Sonning-Fonden.
