Aural training
Small but exclusive group
As a student in the Master’s program in aural training, you become part of a small but exclusive group. Only one or two students are admitted each year. The program aims to prepare students to teach ear training at all levels, from beginner to advanced conservatory level.
Specialized and broad education at the same time
The aural training teaching programme is both a specialization programme and a broad education. The skills and competencies developed, as well as the knowledge acquired during the programme, are also relevant and highly applicable in other musical practices—both performance and music teaching.
Flexible programme
Students in the aural training teaching programme come from diverse musical backgrounds. Some have a broad general musical background, while others are instrumentalists, singers, choir conductors, composers, and more. In addition to courses in the two main subjects, ‘Personal Skills’ and ‘Teaching Skills’, electives are offered throughout the programme to accommodate each student’s individual background and qualifications.
