Music teaching

Please note: the study programme requires that applicants masters Danish orally and in writing, and can use Danish in a teaching context.

Do you dream of making a living from music and want to work in music management and music education? On the Music Teacher study programme you can be into classical or rhythmic music, you can play strings or keys, sing or play a brass instrument. The important thing is that you have something at heart when you do it, and that you are passionate about passing on the joy of music to young and old.

The Music Teacher study programme trains you to teach music and lead musical contexts - for example, children's choir conducting, choir conducting, ensemble conducting (rhythmic/classical), music pedagogical conducting (rhythmic classes, teaching in music schools, etc.). The programme has a special focus on giving you music pedagogical skills to teach children in the age group 0-9 years.

We admit all types of musicians and singers and it is opportant to us that your 'basic package' as a musician/singer is in place. In addition, we expect you to be curious and to have the desire - and courage - to work intensively with musical leadership, music pedagogy and your own musicianship.
