Copenhagen Soloists
Beethoven's violin concert is at the top of the classical violin repertoire. The concert is a challenge for all violinists as it is both transparent in the classical understanding while its symphonic and broad construction points to the romantic period. The violin soloist is Anna Markova, who has led Copenhagen Soloists the last year.
Mendelssohn's 4th symphony is probably his most famous out of the five symphonies. It is inspired by the composer's trip to Italy and named after this. It contains an irresistable and exuberant joy of life as well as a lyrical longing.
