Gubaidulina Festival 11-15 November
Sofia Gubaidulina visits RDAM and we mark the visit with a mini-festival
The Russian composer and Sonning Prize recipient Sofia Gubaidulina visits the Academy. We mark the visit with a series of chamber concerts where it will be possible to hear her String Quartet No. 3, De Profundis for Accordion, Chaconne for Piano, and Descensio for Trombones, Percussion, Harp, Celeste and Piano.
On Friday 14 November the audience may experience the composer in a dialogue with the Russian accordion player and professor Friedrich Lips, and on Saturday 15 November the festival culminates with a Danish first performance of Gubaidulina's accordion concert "Fachwerk" with professor Geir Draugsvoll as soloist at RDAM's Annual Concert.
