Hanzhi Wang won 1st Prize in New York
Accordion student Hanzhi Wang won 1st Prize in the prestigious 2017 Young Concert Artists Auditions in New York. The other prize winners are students of the Juilliard School of Music New York. The competition was held in 3 rounds from September to November with participants from all over the world. Hanzhi Wang is the first accordionist ever to win the competition.
Winning the 1st Prize means recitals in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Centre og Kennedy Center, besides a 3-year contract with the YCA Worldwide Management.
Hanzhi Wang is currently studying accordion in the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma (Soloist) Programme under Professor Geir Draugsvoll at The Royal Danish Academy of Music.
