The instrumental jazz trio Blåly has just released their debut album, Nystalgi
They came together during their AM studies and pursue their musical passion alongside their education. “The education has influenced how we create music and how we want to pass the music on to our audience, including by creating safe and inclusive communities,” says Barbara Fiig.
Nystalgi, which was released on September 13, 2024, has been very well received. According to the trio, their daily life at DKDM can be heard in their music, which, in addition to its classical elements, also features references to folk music and the great Swedish jazz pianists. The album has been named Album of the Week on P8 Jazz and has received five stars in Gaffa.
"It’s an album that’s very easy to love. Try inviting it into your life—you’ll find it hard to say goodbye,” writes Jazznyt about Nystalgi.
The album can be found on all streaming services. You can read more about Blåly on their Instagram account, and you can find a review of Nystalgi here
