Six out of this year's ten scholarship recipients are students at The Royal Danish Academy of Music
On 8th October the British composer, pianist and conductor Thomas Adès will receive The Sonning Music Award 2015 of DKK 600,000. Every year the Music Foundation hands out scholarships for the same amount to young Scandinavian music talents. The scholarships cannot be applied for, but are handed out by the board of the Music Foundation.

The six musicians are: August Finkas, clarinet, Elias Holm, piano, Eva Steinaa, oboe, Morten Grove Frandsen, contra tenor, Theodor Lyngstad, cello, and Troels Roland, piano.
