NOVO Quartet awarded 2nd Prize
Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition 2023
The RDAM string quartet NOVO Quartet won the 2nd Prize in the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition 2023, which was held for string quartets and wind quintets 12-16 April. The competition is a collaboration between the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, The Royal Library and RDAM, and the finals took place in the RDAM Concert Hall.
The 1st Prize for string quartets went to the London quartet Kleio Quartet, while Quartet Hana from Munich won the 3rd Prize.
In the wind quintet category, Ensemble Astera won first prize, while second prize went to the SenArts Wind Quintet and third prize to the Alinde Quintet.
