Aesthetic learning processes and instrumental pedagogy
How can we change, refresh and and anchor instrumental pedagogy for 4- 6 year old children?
In this project, we will use aesthetic learning processes to look at how we can transfer and internalize what children have sensed, felt and experienced in play with music, into instrumental pedagogical practice.
We will look at how, with simple tools, we can give children skills so that the technical challenges of learning and mastering an instrument can be intergrated using a playful approach. By taking the children on a journey in the world of animals, using dogs Molly and Bella, we will, through movement and storytelling, create a foundation where the complicated movements on the instrument are transformed into a game. The instrumental foundation is built with play and co-creation, so that children will experience their first instrumental experiences through play, learning skills slowly and thoroughly.
